Thora's Chip Dip

Thora brought this awesome chip dip and we all wanted the recipe.

2 cups Real Mayonaisse
2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Green Onions
Bacon Bits
Garlic Salt

Mix ingredients and chill

Annual New Years Crop - A little early

I will be having my annual New Years Crop just a few days early this year because I have to work on the 2nd and having a crop the day before will be to difficult for me. 

So we are having the crop on Friday, December 30th, 2pm to Midnight.  This event is free with a dish to pass and beverage of choice.

November Crop - Saturday, 11/19

Using my scraps! I challenge you...

I just wanted to show you a cute project I made out of some of my scrap paper. I got the idea from another blog and I thought it would be great at work since I'm always looking for a piece of paper to make quick notes. It's a great way to clean out your scrap stash, and I'm doing a little recycling as well.

Now I'm sending out a challenge to use your scraps. Send me a picture of a "scraps" project and I'll post it on my blog, or post a picture on your blog and send me the link.

July Crop

I know this is a little last minute, but I have been on vacation and I just got word that we're not doing anything this weekend.  I will be hosting a crop Sunday, July 17th, 11am to 5pm (or later, I don't have to work Monday).  This crop is free with a dish to pass and beverage.

Hard(ly) at Work

Here are a few pages I have been working on.  I started a bunch of them a while ago, but I still needed to finish the journaling.  At least Dillon has finally turned one in his scrapbook, it only took me 10 years.

Dillon's first experience with snow, he was not a happy camper.

Dillon finally turns 1!

He liked getting messy with his cake, but he wasn't to excited about cleaning it all off.

I tried a new mosaic technique.  I'm not to sure if I like it.  It's growing on me.

Even at a young age, Dillon and Abby bonded.

May 28th Crop

Ok, I know it's been a long time, but my schedule is crazy with Cub Scouts.  I'm having a crop on May 28th, 10am to 5(?).  I have some Italian Beef in the freezer that my husband wants me to use, so I'll provide the beef (Oh, and a pumpkin pie), I need somebody bring the italian bread and others to bring side dishes. 

This event is free with a dish to pass.

Miche Party and Crop - Sat. April 16th

On Saturday, April 16th, I will be having a Miche Purse Party with a crop immediately to follow.  I am not a purse person, but these are the most awesome purses!

Crops in March

I will not be holding any crops in March.  Many of us will be attending two other crops.  We will be attending the annual MS Crop in Roselle, IL, and Cropaplooza in Sycamore, IL (see info. below).

February Crop is Full

Valentine Be Mine

Today was a great day with friends, scrapbooking and card making.  Below are a few cards I completed today for Valentine's Day or just love.  I colored these little dragons last summer and finally used them.

Saturday Crop Update - Must Read

We just received some bad news today, Dillon tested positive for the Flu.  We don't know when it actually started, Sunday night or Monday.  I'm on the fence if I should cancel the crop on Saturday or not, so this is what I'm proposing.  Dillon is not allowed down stairs and we're working on breaking his slight fever.  I will still be cropping and you are more than welcome to join me, at your own risk.  If you choose to cancel, I will completely understand.

Please let me know what you choose to do so we can make arrangements for food.

I am so excited!  The January 22nd crop is now full.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone.

Upcoming Crops

I just want to clarify with everyone, that I will still be having crops.  I'll just be doing them more for fun and not as a necessity.  I will post the dates and times on my blog, rather than meetup.com. 

The changes are that I will not be supplying food, please bring a dish to pass and all future crops are free.

Once I post the dates on my blog, I will send out an email.  The first 12 people to contact me will reserve their spots.  I will post who is coming on my blog so that you will know how many seats are still available.

Geocaching for Embellishments

We went Geocaching yesterday for the first time as a family and had a great time.  So this morning I had the idea that I want to run by all of you.

How about a Scrap-n-Stamp Cache?  What I would do is set a bunch of Geocaches with embellishments inside.  First you'll have to find the Geocache (which will be uploaded on Geocaching.com).  When found, you will take an embellishment and put in an embellishement.  Take your new embellishment home and make a card, craft or scrapbook page.  Then take a picture of your project and post it on Geocaching.com under that Cache.

This will give a new twist on Geocaching and our favorite hobbies.
