Projects from Upline meeting

We had a great time at my Upline's Meeting.  Check out the really cute projects we did.

These were all made with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch:(http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133324)

The middle project below is actually a mini album...so cute!

The purse below holds two mini Hershey bars.  And the yellow basket below would be great for coworkers.

I can't wait to make more of these at home.

Check back tomorrow to see some of the cards I swapped!

Stamping Excitement!!!

I'm in a happy stamping mood today and looking forward to actually having some stamping fun tonight and tomorrow!

Tonight I have a friend coming over to work on swap cards for tomorrow.  Swap cards you ask...what are those?  Well, you make approx. 25 of the same card, get together with 25 other ladies that made cards and swap (trade) them.  When you're done swapping, you'll have 25 different cards!

Tomorrow I'm going to an up-line meeting for Stampin' Up, where we spend about 20 minutes discussing business related topics, about 3 hours of stamping fun and we swap cards we made with other SU members. We get to see some wonderful demos and other fun goodies as well!  I always look forward to this monthly event and this month I'm even more excited to be bringing a friend!

Hopefully I'll have time to share some pictures after tomorrow's event.

Also, I've updated the Upcoming Events tab to see what's happening.

February 5th Michaels Class

I am so excited about the card class tomorrow at Michaels!  We'll be making a "Card in a Box".  I had so much fun putting this together and I want to share it with all of you.

The wonderful thing about this little box is that it folds flat, can be put into a standard envelope and mailed.  Wouldn't it be neat to get this little gem in the mail to brighten your day?

The cost of the class is $25/person.  Please contact the DeKalb Michaels store to sign up: 815-787-0823.

Materials to bring are:
   - standard tool kit

The class time is typically 2 hours.  If we have time remaining after we complete this paper-craft, I'll have supplies on hand to teach more cards.

Then stay for the crop from 2pm to 8pm to practice what you've learned, do some scrapbooking and/or stamping.

The crop is only $5 per person!  You will get a four foot table to spread out your stuff, use the store tools and spend time with friends.

It's been a very quiet weekend with having the flu.  I had to forgo the Lake Geneva scrapbook retreat I signed up for, so I had my own little retreat at home.

I finally finished a scrapbook layout I've been working on for awhile.  I had so much fun doing this layout because I used a lot of items I forgot I had.  For the chipboard on the right side I used plain chipboard shapes I found in one of my buckets and then painted them with the Memory Makers paint, which I forgot I had in the cabinet.  I also used a lot of punches for the flowers and stems.  I pulled out stamps for the titles that I haven't used in awhile either.  If I had gone to the retreat, I would have never used all these items.  It was great fun pulling out a lot of my older items.

So I challenge all my followers to make a layout using items/tools in their stash you haven't used in a long while.

I'm hosting a crop this Friday, 10/5, in my home from 6:30pm to Midnight. The event is free with a dish to pass and beverage of choice.

Every crop has a meal theme so we know how to coordinate the meal. The dinner theme is "Taco Bar".

I hope to see you soon.
